update?

Man, I feel like i'm still hungover from st.patricks day. ugh. the party was good though, and from what i've gathered our band was good too (although i must say the tuba was by far the most superior).i may decide to take up bass guitar instead of tuba, but i haven't really decided yet (thoughts? from the peanut gallery) When I woke up the next day, i was so surprised to find I for once didn't have a hangover, however it came within a few hours and i discovered that (not for the first time) i was just still drunk when i woke up. If anyone has yet to see the awesome yet cancelled television show "strangers with candy" i HIGHLY reccomend renting it, if only just to see Colbert. I've watched the whole series this week whilst recovering from last saturday, and like arrested development, it is an underappreciated highly hi-Larious show. I don't know, the weather has been Beautiful in Toronto, seriously like 15 degrees, AWESOME. God people are lame, I'm trying to get a hold of parts of a drum kit that belong to my friend, which he lent to someone who WAS a mutual friend, but now isn't taking anyones calls and while it's pretty obvious that he doesn't want to talk to any of us anymore, at the same time, it's not his SHIT hello! But anyway I called his number the other day and asked for him, and the guy was like yeah he's home hold on then when he picked up the phone was like "oh no he doesn't live here" and it's like you're so lame, we just want the fucking drums back jackass. Whatever, you're 25 years old, not 10, whatever i'm debating just making the drummer do it, she seems like she will take less bullshit than me. ANTM is back on the rise again, i am rooting for natasha, shes so confused all the time, it makes for excellent trash tv. Ugh and i HATE renee, she's such a whiner. I'm gonna post some pictures of recent past events, I'm not exactly sure what order they will appear after, but basically, one of my oldest friends came to visit recently vicki (red hat picture), it was so good to see her as it had been AGES literally like 5 years. I was staying at Karis's house while my house sold, and now she is staying at mine what with my mom and sister being away, so thats been good times, she's quite neat at my house, and i'm quite nest at hers so it basically works out that both houses remain pretty neat when the other is staying there . there are some pictures of the party at my house including candid pictures of the other band a group of almost classy gents that have no name yet, (other than the dennis sugested ryan/andrew rejected "dr.funke and the thunder twats") that played there, as well as my own (havana raspberry) as well as the poster for the concert which is pretty low tech, but funny none the less. I CANNOT wait for the final harry potter book to come out. there are so many questions that NEED to be answered before the conclusion, and i predict it will be the longest book yet/ hope because i'm not looking forward to having nothing to live for after it's release. We're moving in June so thats something, OH i got my G1 as well which is pretty exciting, although it may not seem like it, it is for me. so in 8-12 months watch out roads here i come, (no seriously watch out, i have thus far proven to be quite a negletful driver). In an attempt to help people differentiate karis and i apart we both dyed our hair last night, i WAS going for black/blue, but it basically hasn't changed my hair colour at all (note to reader don't use loreal colour mousse) however karis's hair looks REALLY good, if i do say so myself because i dyed it and blow dried it, but it looks really good red. fuck these stupid images take HOURS to upload. oh wait they're being faster now, spoke too soon. i went to cuba over christmas break god it's been long since i posted stuff here. although i enjoyed the country (it was beautiful) i must say it was a little disconcerning to see my mother and sister drunk (by the way open bar in the swimming pool? does this seem like a stupid idea to ANYONE else?) ALL the time (ok my mom not so much but alicia definitely)I did manage to keep my ghost like complexion though, through i combination of sunhats, 50 spf sunscreen and sitting in the shade whenever possible. i didn't really realize how good cuba's rum was until i brought it back and drank it here god havana club is so good we named our band after it. it was ryan's birthday in january so happy birthday to him, captain morgan (or rum fame) was handing out stuff outside on his birthday, which was (no offence to ryan or his celebrations) the highlight of my night. it was also dear alexis's birthday last sunday, i was too hungover to do much of anything, i did however bring myself to drag my ass to the other side of the city.i was actually a good time, despite my feeling nauseous the whole time, she had a PINATA i mean come on, cannot get better than that. So i guess in conclusion, i'm looking forward to summer (although winter didn't really exist, and i can't help but wonder if we will pay for it with stifling heat waves in july and august)looking forward to harry potter, happy birthday (belated and ultra belated) to alexis and ryan, everyone should watch strangers with candy, renee from ANTM is a whore, and spread the word Havana Raspberry kicks ass. also don't get your hopes up, captain morgan gives out lame dog tags not free rum. well i hope you appreciate this natalia, it is far easier to call you but what-evsys at least you have something to do in the library now -NERD

americas next top model is getting good. gilmore girls was amazing. so was house, it was good. did i already post this? i have another blog at myspace so i don't know if i'm repeating this stuff. i'm beginning to relate more and more to black flag.

ok a) i reviewed my favorite shows list, and i had like an epiphany (though not as startling as the ones in portrait of the artist) anyway, my name is julia and, i'm addicted to reality tv. i mean, there are a few shows that are, reality based, that i wouldn't watch: big brother, any of the survivors after 2, the apprentice (donald and martha), most home decorating/improvement on 2 dollar budget shows...... but basically i am a whore of the reality genre. yesterday, olena told me that flava flav had a new bachelor -esque type show, and i was all "pfft thats lame i'll never waste my time on that" unfortunately it is on right before surreal life 6, and it cannot be avoided. its just soooooo trashy, it almost makes fun of it self just by being on the air... and I LOVE IT. honestly, i think this is an all time low, all the women who are picked get giant clock necklaces, and i mean you just know, him and bridgeete neilson are going to give it another go, god help them. what am i saying, god help me. there is some ridiculous show on right now, about some family with 16 kids, who are building their own house. it's easter, i'm full, and i'm WAY too lazy to look for another show, so now, i'm enthralled with their amish, homeschooling, shoddy house building ways.

b) people tried to warn me, but i am almost definitely addicted to this infernal site. i start work again in a week, what the jebus am i going to do then, this is even more addictive than the blog i started last year. i can't very well charge the government for my services while just going on myspace all day.

c) also WHY did they stop making arrested development. i can't verywell soothe an addiction, when theres nothing left, i've watched all the special features on all the discs on all the seasons, and NOTHING. its like its crack or something, and i'm like smoking (do you smoke crack?.....crack pipe? i guess) the little bits of ashes from the match that i lit the crack with just to feel satisfied.

El Amigo Show

Alright I'm DJ-ing May 26th at El Amigo, i believe it to be a Friday night. I'm playing with Tradition, and another DJ Named Serge.

so i just watched batman, on tvland. its been my favorite show since i was 6. but i have to say this particular episode had a few inconsistencies that just rubbed me the wrong way.
the villian king tut, is a professor of "egyptology" at gotham university who suffers from a rare disease where he has amnesia and dual personalities when he is hit on the head and suffers a concussion, other wise he is a nice guy.
a) he is standing with 2 students wearing a protective hat, he then takes his hat off to show the students that it is made of steel, fine so far. then both students get hit with falling plant holders and HE DOESN'T THINK TO PUT THE HAT BACK ON. so of course he gets hit too
b) neither of the students suffer from the "rare" disease. yet, even before king tut is hit, after they get hit on the head they both change into king tut slaves.
c) commisioner gordon calls bruce wayne (not batman) and bruce wayne tells him to call batman. the commissioner talks to bruce wayne, then batman within a 5 second period, and is totally dumbfounded that batman already knows about king tut
d) why is king tut not in some sort of facility
e) the way to cure him is just to hit him on the head again. why doesn't anyone do this aka robin who has been kidnapped
f) the two girls that are kidnapped, are tied up, but only with a pink satin ribbon that is tied in a bow, which is not only easy to escape from but also inconsistent with the historical king tut timeline of 1300 BC
g) when tut steals the basically mint condition carcophagus from the gotham city museum, commisioner gordon values it by saying "well a carcophagus from around 1300 BC, that would be worth as much as an antique"........
h) chief o'hara says he doesn't want the police to have to dress up as "heathens" at the egypt ball bruce wayne is throwing. i think by "heathens" he meant "egyptians" but they did believe in some sort of gods.

i think it's the relief of being done for the year that is making me drabble on about batman things. sorry if its boring. but it seemed important at the time.
